Salary: £35,000-£40,000 pa (dependent on experience)

We’re looking for a talented, digitally-savvy Content Creator to join our friendly team at our Head Office in Farnham, Surrey.

Working within a small but growing department you will play a pivotal part in supporting the Marketing Manager to deliver the content marketing strategy, with the aim of creating brand awareness, increasing share of voice, and delivering leads through competent completion of key responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and maintain annual content calendar, reporting back to Marketing Manager regularly on progress
  • Maintain and manage company website and social media channels to drive engagement, start conversions, establish tone of voice, increase brand awareness and position Waverley as an industry thought-leader
  • Responsible for website updates which take care to consider SEO
  • Produce engaging, educational, entertaining and innovative content for use in blogs, newsletters and email campaigns
  • Follow the “They Ask, You Answer” methodology to create education zones across all company websites utilising both written and video communication
  • Proofread all content to ensure it’s to a high standard and error-free
  • Oversee maintenance and organisation of central marketing assets, including product master list, messaging copy and images
  • Develop our CPD offering
  • Video production including storyboarding, writing scripts, planning, executing and editing
  • Arrangement of photoshoots
  • Responsibility for maintaining and updating technical documents e.g. datasheets, swatch cards, spec binder inserts
  • Investigate and deliver plans for marketing automation
  • Create sales presentations
  • Internal comms as and when required
  • Media monitoring
  • Contribute to the identification of content opportunities by keeping abreast of industry discussion via social media


  • Ability to be creative and to produce innovative content that tells a story
  • Excellent knowledge of the industry alongside business and marketing acumen
  • Proficiency with content management platforms such as WordPress, Hootsuite and SharpSpring
  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms and digital media outlets
  • Ability to work well with others, both internally and externally, and to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
  • Able to work independently and use initiative
  • Excellent written English
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Ability to research and “get under the skin” of a topic
  • Experience in a similar role or Journalism/English writing qualification desirable
