This high profile fit out project for Hyperion Insurance Group is as a result of the consolidation of their London offices at a new central location in One Creechurch Place, creating a state of the art HQ in the City for the group’s global business.
High Profile City Offices over 8 Floors
The fit out was over Levels 10 to 17 – a total of 8 floors at this development by Helical. Hyperion have also since taken an additional floor on Level 4, meaning the 17-storey office building, situated next to the Aldgate regeneration project, is now 100% let.
MCM designed Hyperion’s Category B office fit out and included high specification executive board rooms, meeting room suites, reception areas, open plan offices, collaboration areas, refreshment points, break out areas, executive shower and WC areas, and a commercial grade kitchen and café with servery. A feature staircase was also included, linking Levels 11 to 15.
Stretch Ceiling Creates a Focal Point
The jewel in the crown of this project for ISG Fit Out is the stretch ceiling in the Executive 14th Floor Reception.
The organic shape is a reflection of the impressive helical staircase design, and involved our project and installation teams’ co-ordination with the lighting design and installation teams.
The result is a stunning bespoke suspended ceiling which brings ambience and a focal point to this prestigious space.
Window Blinds – Motorised and Manual – in Screen fabric
We supplied and installed ShadeTech RBL-E electrically operated roller blinds on the Executive 14th Floor, in our BetaScreen 100 1% openness screen fabric. These are operated via a Vestamatic SMI motor and controlled by the SMI control system, linked into the Prologic lighting control system and providing a range of control options. The blinds are operated through the custom light switches. In addition to providing the motors and control system, we also installed power cabling between the motorised blinds.
In other areas on the 14th Floor we supplied and installed ShadeTech RBL-C chain operated roller blinds also in BetaScreen 100 1% openness fabric. On the remaining floors we supplied and installed ShadeTech RBL-C manual blinds in BetaScreen 100 3% openness fabric.
This PVC coated polyester weave is a quality shade fabric, and offers effective thermal control whilst still allowing a view of the City skyline outside.
Internal Curtains used to conceal cupboards
An additional item included was curtains to hide a row of riser cupboards on Level 14 near reception.
We supplied and installed Silent Gliss Wave curtain track, together with Wave curtains in Kontur fabric from Ludwig Svensson.
The result is a stunning new office space for Hyperion in a prime location, allowing them to promote agile working and collaboration between internal teams, supporting the health and wellness of their employees and enabling them to both attract and retain the best talent for their global business.
What They Say
“From day one, Hyperion wanted something different. They wanted it to be a memorable experience. More like a boutique hotel than a typical corporate space. Coming through the main building reception and into Hyperion has a real wow factor. Parquet flooring. Warm lighting. Plush materials. Bold artworks. Lots of planting. Domestic-style lighting. It’s totally unexpected and really welcoming.”
“Clients and partners have mentioned how it captures the spirit of Hyperion. There’s a real sense of pride in the new space. The energy and vibrancy are obvious to any visitor. There’s more cross-collaboration. More face-to-face contact, personal interactions and incidental connections. For potential employees, the incredible work environment now matches their career prospects. Everyone who comes to the office falls in love with it.”
