Charitable Giving for 2020

The vision of Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) is ‘an end to preventable loss of life from medical emergency’.

Waverley selected KSS as their chosen charity at the beginning of last year. We committed to donate £1 to them for every NPS score we received at the end of a project.

This was especially poignant as KSS were called to help one of our Directors last August when he was suddenly taken seriously ill, airlifting him to nearby Frimley Park Hospital. We can therefore testify to their incredible fast-response service and high level of emergency care, and are also pleased to say he has since made a good recovery.

We have been glad to add to our commitment to make a more substantial donation of £1,000 to KSS at the end of 2020, as well as a donation of £1,000 to Frimley Health Charity.

It is only a drop in the bucket of need, however! KSS are an independent charity with costs of over £15 million a year. They rely on donations to maintain their world leading innovative service. Read more about all that they do here: https://www.aakss.org.uk/about-us/
