Alpha Bank

Waverley worked closely with Resonate Interiors (Awarded LuxLife Best Commercial Interior Design Studio in London 2021) on this office headquarters fit out project in the heart of the square mile.

The Project

Alpha Bank relocated from their traditional offices in Cannon Street to a new HQ at Capital House, 85 King William Street.  The design brief was to provide an amazing client experience and a truly modern and supportive workplace on one contiguous floorplate.

The scheme designed by Resonate Interiors reflects the bank’s values and heritage, and gives confidence to staff and clients alike.  On entry, the serene reception space – with well appointed seating areas and luxury materials such as marble and bronze – leads to surrounding meeting rooms in a muted scheme of taupes and bronzes.

The offices have been designed in keeping with the front of house in a soft and sophisticated palette but with more contemporary furniture, and including a café/breakout area for staff with a coffee point and a variety of seating options to accommodate agile working and meetings.

The Requirement & The Solutions

Waverley were employed by fit-out contractor Parkeray to manufacture and install window furnishings for the project.

In collaboration with the interior designers, we installed Silent Gliss 6840 Wave curtain tracks to meeting rooms and breakout areas. The white slim-line track with concealed fixing brackets blends in with the white ceiling. The clever glider cord system creates equal spacing between each glider to create a uniform ‘wave’ effect with the curtains that suits a modern interior design scheme.

Plain voile fabric in a cream colour was used in breakout areas while patterned ombre effect voile was installed in the meeting rooms to provide a greater degree of glare control.

Windows in office areas benefit from the Draper Flexshade XD manual roller blind system. Draper blinds carry a 25 year warranty, are extremely robust and are ideally suited to the commercial office environment. Draper’s ball bearing clutch mechanism is the strongest and smoothest on the market ensuring even large blinds can be operated with ease.

The blinds were concealed behind a white powder coated fascia so as to be almost invisible when not in use.  BetaScreen® 400 fabric in colour Slate with 3% openness was used to provide excellent glare control performance whilst retaining a view of the city skyline.

The Outcome

The scheme by Resonate Interiors is a tasteful statement of contemporary luxury and high quality.

Taking up a single 1300m2 floor, the offices make the most of the city views as well as natural daylight, with a clever mixture of translucent voile curtains and screen fabric roller blinds to augment the luxury ambience and provide glare and heat control.
